The Federation of Gambia Cashew Farmers Association (FGCFA) is the national apex body representing all cashew farmers in The Gambia. It was established in June 2016 and has a current membership of 11 registered farmer associations with over 12 (twelve) thousand members in West Coast Region, North Bank Region and Lower River Region.
The Federation of Gambia Cashew Farmers Association provides leadership in the organization and development of The Gambia cashew sector and also promotes collaborative partnership with genuine stakeholders for its members especially in the area of capacity building and marketing. The Federation of Gambia Cashew Farmers Association represents the interest of all cashew producers in The Gambia.
Currently We Are Growing and Selling Raw Cashew Nut
The main objective of this apex body is to build the capacity of cashew farmers in order to improve the cashew production, cashew nut quality, access to finance for RCM marketing and linking associations with potential local buyers, international buyers, exporters and processors.
The Federation of Gambia Cashew Farmers Association (FGCFA) would like to express its commitment towards the realization of a vibrant and sustainable cashew sector in The Gambia in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, GIEPA, NGOs, Development Agencies and other relevant stakeholders of the cashew industry.
